WE ARE IN THE SAME POSITION. OUR SCHOOL CLOSES 2010 AGAIN BECAUSE OF FALLING NUMBERS. OUR LABOUR COUNCIL HAVE 17 MILLION POUNDS TO SPEND BUT THEY HAVE CHOSEN TO BUILD A SUPER SCHOOL 6 MILES AWAY. GOOD LUCK

As an Independent cllr for Fellgate and Hedworth ward i am totally oppossed to the closures of all schools in the borough as i do not think that the consultations which come with transparency and acountability have been exercised by the dominant Labour Group and in particular the decision making body of the all Labour cabinet. Party allegiance prevents them from deliberating in a more open context as they are simply pawns that do the national governments bidding. I hope that you have approached the Jarrow and the Boldons MP Stephen Hepburn with your strongly opposed views to this schools closure. Good Luck with your endeavours.

Typical of the Labour administration to want to close 'easy targets' to save money for their failures.

I fully support that the school should remain open and I am apalled that they are waiting until after the local elections before giving a decision. A cynical ploy by the Labour party. administration

Keep little schools open

Church of England schools are few and far between. As this is a C of E controlled school surely the church have a massive input into the debate. Not knowing of the direct involvement - it strikes me that a C of E school cannot come entirely under the auspices of the local authority

I think the government are mad this sounds like such a wonderful school. My heart and prayers go out to the pupils, teachers and parents who are involved in this school. Keep up the fught you have plenty of support!

This is a fantastic school with all the qualities other schools should strive to achieve. It would be a disgrace to close it.

I am in year 5 of this school and I have loved every minute of coming to school. All my friends are here and if it closes I might not see them again and all the teachers are fantastic. SO PLEASE DO NOT CLOSE MY SCHOOL

Lucy M. (17th Oct 2007)

Haroon ur R. (13th Oct 2007)

I previously used to go to this school & now my younger brother's education depends on it. It will be very sad if it shut down.

Mobeen A. (13th Oct 2007)

AS A RESIDENT AND THE LOLLIPOP LADY OF THIS SCHOOL - I AM TOTALLY DEVASTATED AT THE PROPOSAL TO CLOSE THIS EXCELLENT SCHOOL. THIS SCHOOL HAS THE MOST LOVELIEST AND WELL MANNERED CHILDREN THAT YOU COULD EVER HOPE TO MEET, AND THE STAFF ARE SECOND TO NONE. LETS HOPE THESE 'TOPS' PEOPLE HAVE A CHANGE OF HEART - SAVE OUR SCHOOL!!
