I went to this primary school from year 6 and for the time i spent there i found that the teachers are very kind and friendly but my fellow student's and others in other years were even friendlier. SO KEEP THIS SCHOOL OPEN!!

The social implications on the culture of GB will be apparent in the future when all shops are owned by large chains, all small schools are closed and replaces with larger superschols and we become a homgonous boring nation devoid of any local charm or curiosity.

Some of my best memories of childhood were made in that school. Playing rounders and netball, getting chased out of the gully by the dinner ladies, everyone running to be the one to ring the bell at the end of play time(this was before the school went all posh and sharted using a whistle).

This school was know as the GOOD school in Boldon. There is not much 'good' left in Blodon, Why remove such a happy and productive place.

This a lovely school with great links in the community it would be a great shame to close this just so target are met in an office.

WE ARE IN THE SAME POSITION. OUR SCHOOL CLOSES 2010 AGAIN BECAUSE OF FALLING NUMBERS. OUR LABOUR COUNCIL HAVE 17 MILLION POUNDS TO SPEND BUT THEY HAVE CHOSEN TO BUILD A SUPER SCHOOL 6 MILES AWAY. GOOD LUCK

As an Independent cllr for Fellgate and Hedworth ward i am totally oppossed to the closures of all schools in the borough as i do not think that the consultations which come with transparency and acountability have been exercised by the dominant Labour Group and in particular the decision making body of the all Labour cabinet. Party allegiance prevents them from deliberating in a more open context as they are simply pawns that do the national governments bidding. I hope that you have approached the Jarrow and the Boldons MP Stephen Hepburn with your strongly opposed views to this schools closure. Good Luck with your endeavours.

Typical of the Labour administration to want to close 'easy targets' to save money for their failures.

steve h. (30th Apr 2008)

I fully support that the school should remain open and I am apalled that they are waiting until after the local elections before giving a decision. A cynical ploy by the Labour party. administration

Keep little schools open

Church of England schools are few and far between. As this is a C of E controlled school surely the church have a massive input into the debate. Not knowing of the direct involvement - it strikes me that a C of E school cannot come entirely under the auspices of the local authority

I think the government are mad this sounds like such a wonderful school. My heart and prayers go out to the pupils, teachers and parents who are involved in this school. Keep up the fught you have plenty of support!

This is a fantastic school with all the qualities other schools should strive to achieve. It would be a disgrace to close it.

I am in year 5 of this school and I have loved every minute of coming to school. All my friends are here and if it closes I might not see them again and all the teachers are fantastic. SO PLEASE DO NOT CLOSE MY SCHOOL

Please do not disrupt the education of the youngsters of Boldon C of E Primary School. They deserve to be educated in the local primary which has served the community very well for many years. Continuity is vital in these early formative years.
